The group is actively involved in the eye camp organized each year by the trust since 2001 with ARVIND EYE HOSPITAL extending full support to this eye camp. Full team of Doctors and support staff from the hospital, fully equipped in every aspect, converge at the camp site at vellore. The camp site is invariably a large wedding hall where we offer free eye check up, supply free spectacles to the needy, free transport and cataract surgeries for those who need it at ARVIND’S hospital, Chennai are organized. The poor and the needy, numbering around 1,500 on an average, are brought in through buses and vans from their villages located around Vellore and free eye tests are done with breakfast and lunch provided as well. The credit for this initiative goes to the Good Leather Group. Mr. K.R. Vijayan and MR. K. Govindaraju, Directors of Good Leather Shoes Private Limited are both sitting Trustees of the Trust. They are actively involved in the organization of this eye camp in every way; be it material, financial or physical.
